Refund, Return and Repair Policy

This policy applies to purchases made in-store or online via respirico.com.au.

We want you to be happy with your purchase. We recommend reading this policy before ordering, and inspecting goods as soon as they arrive or are collected, to make sure you’re satisfied they’re of acceptable quality and match what was described.

Returns Policy

Respirico wants customers to be satisfied with their purchases and therefore encourages customers to choose carefully before completing an order.

Refunds will not ordinarily be provided where a customer has changed their mind, selected the incorrect product, or subsequently found the product available at a lower price elsewhere.

Refunds are not available for special orders or custom-made goods.

Customers are encouraged to review their order carefully, including product selection, adaptability and specifications, before completing a purchase.

A receipt or other valid proof of purchase is required for all returns.

Subject to customers’ rights under the Australian Consumer Law, goods that have been opened, used, or are not in their original packaging may not be eligible for return or refund.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available to customers under the consumer guarantees provided by the Australian Consumer Law.

Point of Purchase

For the purposes of this policy, Point of Purchase means:

  • Online orders: the Respirico warehouse from which the goods were dispatched; or
  • In-store orders: the Respirico branch at which the goods were purchased.

Warranty Returns

Where goods develop a fault covered by warranty, we’ll arrange for the item to be assessed, and repaired, replaced or refunded in line with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Small Items

Where an item can be posted or easily returned, please send it to us at your cost. If the fault is confirmed under warranty, we’ll reimburse reasonable return shipping costs and repair, replace, or refund the item as applicable.

Large or Installed Items

For large, heavy, or installed equipment that can’t reasonably be transported, contact us and we’ll arrange collection or another suitable assessment process.

You’ll generally need to cover the cost of assessment and collection upfront, and we’ll give you a reasonable cost estimate first. If a warranty fault is confirmed, we’ll cover the return shipping cost back to you. If no fault is found, return shipping costs are your responsibility.

Interstate and Remote Locations

The above small item/large item terms apply regardless of location. For remote areas not currently serviced by us, we’re not obliged to carry out on-site inspections, but we’ll work with you on the best way to get the item assessed.

Warranty Assessment Timeframe

Please return goods for warranty assessment within 30 days of noticing the fault, or as soon as reasonably possible given the nature of the goods and the issue. Delays may affect our ability to process the claim.

Refurbished Parts

We may, at our discretion, use refurbished parts or equivalent quality goods for warranty repairs.

Proof of Purchase

Refunds, exchanges and repairs need one of the following:

  • Original receipt or tax invoice (a photo or digital copy is fine)
  • Online tax invoice (order confirmation emails aren’t accepted)
  • Packing slip included with your delivery or click & collect order

You’ll need to supply proof of purchase; our team isn’t able to source this on your behalf.

Consumer Guarantees

For more on your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, see the Consumer Guarantees information at accc.gov.au.

Goods Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged, contact us as soon as possible and within 48 hours of delivery. Claims made after this window may not be accepted, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.

If a transit damage claim is accepted, we’ll cover return shipping for assessment and arrange a replacement, repair or refund as appropriate. If the claim isn’t accepted, return shipping is at your cost.

Refunds

Refunds are usually processed within 7 days of your return being received and inspected. We’ll email you to confirm receipt and let you know if it’s been approved.

Refunds are returned via your original payment method:

  • Card payments are refunded to the same card used for the purchase
  • Mobile/digital wallet payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay etc) are refunded to the same wallet

Gifts and Bundles

If an item was purchased as part of a bundle or with a bonus gift, all components need to be returned together, or the value of anything not returned will be deducted from your refund.

Returns and Repairs Process

To start a return or repair, contact us on 1800 208 826 or breathing@respirico.com.au, or reach out to the branch where your order was purchased or collected.

Items customised at your request (fabric, colour, size changes etc) aren’t eligible for return.

For items too large to return easily, or that have been installed, get in touch and we’ll advise on assessment options.

We’ll give you an indicative repair timeframe where possible, though this can vary due to part availability or other factors outside our control. Where damage is due to misuse or accident, or falls outside your Consumer Guarantee or manufacturer’s warranty rights, you may be responsible for assessment, labour or freight costs, and we’ll provide an estimate beforehand.

Tax Adjustment Notes

For returns totalling $1,000 or more where a Tax Adjustment Note is requested, we’ll need your name, address and ABN (if applicable).

Privacy

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information. We may ask for photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence or passport, with a current expiry date) to verify your identity when processing a return.
