The inherent gap in the design maintains an open system, while the unidirectional flow created by the asymmetric prongs improves clearance of CO2-rich gas during expiration. This asymmetric design has also been shown to reduce noise during therapy, supporting greater patient comfort and compliance. Suitable for single patient use, the Duet interface is compatible with the F&P Airvo series, MR850, F&P 950, and F&P 820 humidifier systems, making it a versatile option across a range of high flow therapy setups.
